How to make import PSD
(Updated on 2020/07/03)
This page explains the necessary preparations and how to create an imported PSD after the material has been separated.
For the work procedure to divide the illustration into eyelashes, eyeballs, contours, etc. for each part, see "About material division "Please refer to the.
How to make import PSD
We will combine each part (group) created with PSD for material separately into one layer.
When all parts are made into one layer, save as another name.
The file name can be managed easily by setting the PSD for material separation to “OO_Material separation.psd” and the import PSD to “OO_Import.psd”.
* Glue When merging, please be careful not to overwrite with the material-separated PSD layered.
It is good to write t ○ ○ at the end of the data name and ○ ○ part to increase the number each time PSD is updated.
("T" means take)
In addition, it is easier to manage if dividing materials and importing t ○ ○ together.
Precautions when creating PSD for import
When creating a PSD for import, the following points need to be noted.
Check if there is a layer with the same name
Even with basically the same layer nameCubism You can import it into the Editor,
Having the same layer name can cause confusion and cause trouble later.
In order to avoid such troubles, let's use different layer names at the stage of material separation PSD.
Layer attribute after merging is "normal"Or "multiply"
Layer attributes other than "normal" or "multiply" may change to unintended colors when imported.
The layer attribute isCubism It can be set on the Editor.
I want to change it after importingArtmeshSelect and set the [Inspector] palette → [Blend method].
・ Multiplication * If it is set to multiplication in PSD,Cubism It is automatically set to multiplication when it is imported into Editor.
These three types can be set.
[Opacity] is the% set in PSDCubism Although it is reflected on the Editor, [Fill] is output at 100%.
If [Opacity] is set to 50% in PSD,Cubism The opacity is also set to 50% when imported into the Editor.
[Fill] isCubism Since it is not reproduced on the Editor, even if it is set to [50%] etc.Cubism It is set to 100% on the Editor.
For cheek dyeing that requires adjustment of darkness, it is recommended to set with [Opacity] instead of [Fill].
Opacity isCubism It can also be set on the Editor.
I want to change it after importingArtmeshSelect, and set the [Inspector] palette → [Opacity].
Combine line art and clipping masks
It will be one part and one layer.
Line art, fill, filter effects, clipping, etc. are combined into one layer.
* If you want to separate line art and shadows, manage them in one part and one layer.
Do not use layer masks
If the layer mask remains, put it together with "Apply layer mask".
Color mode is "RGB", color profile is "sRGB"
If the color mode is set to CMYK other than RGB, PSD cannot be read, so let's set it to RGB mode.
If the color profile is other than sRGB, the color may be strange when it is read, so let's set it to sRGB.
Regarding the conversion method, "PSD color profilePlease refer to the page.
Check for trash
Garbage such as unerased items that are difficult to notice may remain, but the trash will also be recognized as material.
Since automatic mesh generation may not work properly, do not leave garbage such as forgetting to erase.
Also, if there is a large transparent area even if no dust remains, it may cause unintended operation.
It is a good idea to select and delete areas other than the material with the lasso tool.
In Photoshop, you can roughly check the current material status by changing the layer thumbnail display.
Check if path information is included
If the path information is included in the PSD created with CC 2019 or later version of Photoshop,Cubism You may not be able to load it into the Editor.
If it contains path information, delete it before joining.
