Clipping

A masking function similar to “Clipping Mask” commonly used in drawing tools can be used.

The opaque areas of the selected layer, the layer directly below the group, or the group can be used as a mask.

You can use opaque areas of any layer as a mask, including text, Live2D models, videos, and scene layers. 

Use this function to achieve a variety of mask expressions and expand the range of your video creation. 

To use a group as a mask or masked area, set the group rendering mode to Normal (Drawing together). 

Note: Refer to Group in the manual for the rendering mode of the group. 

How to perform “Clipping in the lower layer” 

• After selecting a layer on the canvas, in the layer list, or on the timeline, turn on “Clipping in the lower layer” in the Layer palette. 

• After selecting a layer on the canvas, in the layer list, or on the timeline, right-click and select “Clipping in the lower layer.”
